Your Mission:

    • Support the engineering, commissioning, and implementation of SCADA & Automation of the energy storage systems. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Work with customer to determine system requirements and verify our solution will meet and exceed our customer’s requirements
    • Oversee SCADA implementation requirements and implement by following industry best practices
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams and support as subject matter expert
    • Prepare and maintain SCADA solution technical documents such as all technical design philosophy, data lists, bill of material, diagrams, and layouts
    • Analyzing data collected in the Energy Management System to quickly assess site performance
    • Maintaining documentation for system level control, network, configurations and updates. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Control Narrative, Software Functional Description, Communication Flow
    • Network Concept Diagram, Rack Elevation Diagram,
    • IP List, Port Level Diagram, Customer Interface Specification
    • SCADA point lists – system and vendor
    • Support solution engineers to design and finalize the SCADA map for vendor specific devices
    • Support the Real Time Automation Controller (RTAC) project build including device configuration, mapping, IEC-61131 structured-text/logical programming
    • Enable commissioning director and project engineers on site with tools for successful completion of project
    • Work with software and EMS team to build necessary asset management tools and features
    • Support the DevSecOps team in procuring appropriate equipment,
    • Ensuring the equipment and system comply with industry regulations and cybersecurity standards.

Your Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering, MS is a plus.
    • 3-8 years of experience in SCADA and PLC development or application engineering role
    • Thorough knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3.0, PROFINET and IEC 61850
    • Working knowledge on SEL RTAC, SEL Relays & Meters and SCADA gateways
    • Experience with point-to-point testing and communication protocol troubleshooting
    • Experience with network switches, firewalls, patch panels, media converters (fiber/serial) and security requirements such as NERC CIP
    • Understanding ring network redundancy concepts such as MRP is a plus
    • Technical knowledge of inverter-based generation systems, renewable energy, and energy storage industry a plus
    • Willingness to travel - domestically and internationally
