Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced freelance WordPress developer to assist with an upcoming project starting in January 2024. The successful candidate will have a strong proficiency in WordPress development and will be responsible for creating and maintaining custom WordPress websites based on client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the design team and clients to understand project requirements and objectives
Customise and develop WordPress themes, plugins, and modules to meet client specifications
Integrate third-party APIs, e-commerce platforms, and other web applications with WordPress sites
Optimise websites for performance, scalability, and SEO best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to WordPress websites
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design across various screens and devices
Implement security measures to protect websites against vulnerabilities and cybersecurity threats
Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, techniques, and best practices
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a WordPress developer with a strong portfolio of previous projects
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
Expertise in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development
Experience with popular page builders, such as Elementor or Visual Composer
Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation
Understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile optimisation
Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git or SVN
strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Availability to start in January 2024 and commit to the project duration
Bonus Skills:
Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms
knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimisation
Familiarity with graphic design tools like Photoshop or Sketch
